1. It’s more than multi-room audio

Traditional multi-room audio lets you pick which rooms to play music in, but you still have to manage it. Walk to another room and the music stays behind.

Follow-Me Sound uses millimeter wave (mmWave) radar in Deako Intelligent Switches to know which room you’re in – and automatically routes your audio there. When you enter a room, the music is already playing. When you leave, the music fades behind you.

2. Gets smarter every day

This radar data gets processed by Deako Intelligence – our algorithm that runs entirely on your Deako Intelligent Hub.

Deako Intelligence learns your patterns over time. It builds a model of how your household uses sound and starts anticipating what you need before you can even ask.

What the model learns:

  • Daily routines — When the household shifts into its evening routine, audio gradually fades or transitions to be softer. This is based on your actual patterns, not a preset timer.  
  • Multi-person awareness — When two people are in different rooms, Follow-Me Sound maintains separate audio streams. 
  • Context-sensitive volume — It learns that you prefer lower volumes in the morning and louder sounds in the afternoon, and adjusts accordingly. 

3. Turn your speakers into one connected sound system

You already have speakers throughout your home. Follow-Me Sound connects them into a single intelligent audio network. Deako Intelligent Switches provide spatial intelligence and Deako Intelligence routes audio to the speakers in the room you’re in. 

The result: a distributed audio network that covers your entire home, powered by speakers you already own or choose to add.

  • Works with what you have — Sonos, JBL, Beats, ceiling speakers, and other Wi-Fi connected or DLNA-capable speakers. The system treats them all as endpoints and routes intelligently.
  • Room-by-room flexibility — Use a premium speaker in the living room and a compact one in the bathroom. Follow-Me Sound adapts to whatever hardware is in each room.
  • Independent streams — Multiple family members can each have their own audio in their own space, simultaneously.

You start a podcast in the bedroom. It plays in the bathroom while you’re getting ready. You head to the kitchen and listen while you eat breakfast. Your coffee is the only thing you have to press a button for.

You are listening to your audiobook in the living room. As you get ready for bed, the audio automatically follows you to the bathroom and bedroom, so you don’t miss a word. As you settle into bed, the volume drops and fades into silence.

You must have Deako Connectors installed in your walls for the new Deako Intelligent Switches to snap into. You will also need to purchase a Deako Intelligent Hub, which allows Deako Intelligence to run and process data locally. 

You must have Wi-Fi connected or DLNA-compatible speakers in the rooms where you want audio, like Sonos, JBL, Beats, KEF, WiiM, and others. The Deako Intelligent Switches provide the radar intelligence that knows where you are. Your speakers provide the sound.

Follow-Me Sound supports any audio source that can stream to your connected speakers – Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, podcasts, and more.

Yes. Deako Intelligence tracks each person independently using radar. You can have a focus playlist in the office, a cooking podcast in the kitchen, and a movie soundtrack in the playroom – all simultaneously.

Deako Intelligence detects multiple people in a room and adjusts accordingly. By default, the audio that was already playing in that room continues. 

Audio handoff depends on the quality of the sound systems being used, as well as your Wi-Fi signal strength. Our objective is that the audio handoff will be fast enough that you won’t notice a gap. The music should fade smoothly behind you and pick up ahead of you, so that there is a consistent sound as you walk around your home. 

No. All radar tracking and audio routing decisions are processed by Deako Intelligence on your local hub. Your movement patterns and household data never leave your home network.
